The chapel of St. Mary Magdalene is slightly hidden between trees on the outskirts of Meinerzhagen-Valbert. Its elevated position and the surrounding landscape give it a special, tranquil atmosphere.

As a place of contemplation, the chapel invites you to leave everyday life behind for a moment. Visitors will find a sheltered space for peace, prayer and personal reflection. A prayer book on display offers the opportunity to record wishes, hopes or thanks.

The chapel is also closely linked to the pilgrimage tradition. Both the Sauerland-Camino and the Way of St. James pass by this place. On the stage from Paderborn to Cologne, the chapel is a popular resting and stamping point for pilgrims.
