It was built in 1868 by master builder Johann Barthomé in a historicist style, presumably to replace an older structure. At the apse, the Holy Sepulcher is depicted as the culmination of Christ’s Passion and the final station of the Seven Stations of the Cross, which are attributed to the Papen Baroque workshop.
Many people visit the chapel to find peace, say a prayer, light a candle, and enjoy the magnificent view of the Land of a Thousand Mountains.
