In 1376, the citizens of the town rebelled against the encroachments of their castle lords and burned down the castle, which was never rebuilt. In 1798, the castle ruins were laid to rest, the site was leveled and the trees, some of which still exist today, were planted. Today you will find an oasis of peace in the middle of the city. Events are also held on this beautiful square from time to time.
