The visitor mine is not only a great gem for mineralogists and geologists, but the colorful ore deposits created by sintering will make almost everyone go into raptures. The deposits, which owe their existence to the elements water and lime as well as the embedded mineral, range from deep black (manganese) to clear green (copper) to bright red (iron) and radiant white (lime).
