The area stretches out around the heath-covered summit of the Kahle Pön. Forests with beech stands, Weidespaces, and Hochheide offer a diverse mix of natural habitats, providing a home especially for rare bird species. The Sauerland-Höhenflug trail also leads over the summit along unspoiled paths.
You can reach the Aussichtspunkt Pöngipfel on foot via the well-marked Kahle Pön nature trail—either from the Kahle Pön hiking parking lot above the village of Düdinghausen or from the hiking parking lot above Titmaringhausen, near the Graf Stolberg hiking hut.
