The Assinghausen Trekking Site in the Küsterland region combines nature-oriented lodging with the peaceful atmosphere of the Sauerland. Nestled in the heart of the Olsberg countryside, the site is ideal for anyone who appreciates the simplicity of being outdoors and wants to fully experience the surroundings. Forests, meadows, and the proximity to the “rose village” of Assinghausen define the character of this place and make it an ideal destination for hikers, nature lovers, and groups seeking a simple, unspoiled retreat. The Küsterland region itself is synonymous with tranquility, village culture, and scenic harmony. Those who stop here will find no noisy hustle and bustle, but rather a down-to-earth spot close to nature and with space to unwind. The combination of active exploration and relaxed downtime is particularly appealing: After a hike through the Sauerland highlands, the trekking site offers a simple, authentic retreat under the open sky. The trekking site consists of a wooden platform measuring 4.5 x 3.5 meters, an integrated seating area, and a modern composting toilet. Overnight stays are permitted exclusively on this platform. Overnight stays and camping next to the platform are not permitted. Two camping spots are designated on the wooden platform. Each tent spot measures a maximum of 2.25 meters by 3.50 meters. For tents larger than the designated space per tent, the entire wooden platform must be reserved. Tents larger than the total dimensions of the wooden platform cannot be used. Since the setup and operation of the trekking sites involve significant costs, fees are charged for their use.
