In 1924, Wilhelm von der Brake laid the foundation for a vision. Four generations later, that vision reached its pinnacle: the Apollo Royal has become a reality. Following Germany’s first deluxe cinema—which we’ve been proud to present to you on the ground floor since 2007—Nicole Güldner and her mother Christel have set another milestone in German cinema history. Take a seat and enjoy the unique ambiance of the Apollo Royal. Many local businesses were committed to ensuring that this venue would become an exclusive place of entertainment and enjoyment.
By the way: Our commitment to service has remained unchanged since the cinema’s founding—as far back as 1924, the von der Brake family served drinks and sandwiches during the movies. You don’t have to miss out on that: Order a classic movie snack or delicious meals at the touch of a button. We are the only movie theater in North Rhine-Westphalia to have been honored with two Cinema Manager Awards. Our cinematic decorations have also won awards.
