The Ahse meadows are an extensive wet meadow area where curlews, lapwings, marsh harriers, spoonbills, teals and garganey ducks, white storks, meadow pipits and red-backed shrikes breed. Migratory birds such as bean geese and white-fronted geese, cranes, green and redshank can be observed here.
