The Rumkerhof camping and motorhome site is adjacent to an old half-timbered farmhouse dating back to 1824 and is idyllically situated on the outskirts of Bad Sassendorf. The fields adjacent to the site guarantee a quiet location. Diagonally opposite the pitch is the "Lindenplatz" orthopaedic rehabilitation clinic, which is directly adjacent to Bad Sassendorf's spa gardens.
The Börde Therme can be easily reached on foot (approx. 15 minutes through the spa park) or by bike on asphalted cycle paths away from the main roads. The town center is also within easy walking distance (approx. 15 minutes) and offers varied entertainment with a wide range of restaurants, numerous stores, which are also open at weekends, and numerous leisure activities.
There are many excursion destinations to visit in the surrounding area, e.g. the Möhnesee or the Arnsberg Forest as well as the historic town of Soest.
The site offers space for 90 caravans and motorhomes. It is surrounded by a Wallen overgrown with native shrubs. The lighting provides an additional feeling of security. The pitches for caravans/motorhomes range in size from 5 m x 12 m to 8 m x 12 m. The surface consists of gravel with grass. The individual pitches are separated from each other by hornbeam hedges. Each pitch has its own electricity connection with meter, so that electricity can be billed according to consumption. Fresh and service water can be obtained from a central point. The new sanitary building has been in operation since 2010. Waste is disposed of separately according to recyclable materials, compost and residual waste. The entire site covers an area of 15,000 square meters. The site is easily accessible, the access road to the site is asphalted and the paths on the site are gravelled. As the site is at ground level, it is suitable for the disabled.
