Comedy with Pierre Sanoussi-Bliss, Fiona Sonnemann, Franziska Traub, Claudia van Veen, Kay Szacknys and Andreas Werth
This brilliant comedy classic centers on the hypochondriac Argan. He constantly worries about his well-being and doesn't feel well physically. He is constantly preoccupied with imaginary illnesses and aches and pains, terrorizing those around him. Only his maid Toinette asks him bluntly time and again: "What's wrong with you?" She tells him that doctors and pharmacists are making a fortune out of him. But that doesn't bother the rich Argan. Being ill is his purpose in life. As he always wants to have a doctor around him, he wants his daughter Angélique to marry a doctor. However, she does not agree to this because she secretly loves another man. The situation comes to a head when Argan's second wife Béline, who only married him for his money, comes into the picture. A play about laughing, making fun of, laughing at, taking, dishing out and "taking the mickey".
