For centuries, the recorder has been one of the classic instruments of home music-making. Yet it is far more than just an instrument for beginners: with its variety of sizes and timbres, it opens up countless musical possibilities.
Dr. Hermann Oldelehr will provide insight into the topic of “home music,” while the Werl Recorder Ensemble, conducted by Walburga Alsdorf, will present polyphonic works from the recorder repertoire. The ensemble will showcase the full range of the recorder family and its repertoire. The program also features works by the Werl-based composer and KUK chairman Thomas Seeck, including the “Börde Suite.”
