Jazz meets funk, swing meets rock - fresh and full of energy.
Helga Plankensteiner and her crew breathe fresh groove into the classics of Jelly Roll Morton - the "inventor of jazz". Jazz meets funk, swing meets rock. With baritone saxophone, tuba, bass clarinet, piano and drums, they combine classic jazz with funk, swing and rock, making almost century-old tunes shine - fresh, energetic and unpredictable. Their arrangements are playful, virtuosic and full of groove; the CD from 2022 was voted one of the ten best jazz albums by Musica Jazz. Old hits, new vibes, a real joy to play.
