Retail is both a way of life and a source of memories! Many residents can still share stories about small and large stores in Brilon and the 16 villages. Whether it’s clothing stores or the village grocery store, retail is a reflection of the region’s economic life. This special exhibition takes a close look at numerous stores that many people still remember. Amazon and the like didn’t exist back then; instead, shoes, clothing, furniture, and more were bought right here in town. This is how Brilon and the 16 villages were able to thrive. The special exhibition will be accompanied by special offers. These also include the popular “Stammtisch” guided tours held outside regular opening hours. Further details will be announced in the press, on social media, and at www.haus-hoevener.de.
