As part of the upcoming anniversary celebration at the Maria Königin High School, a piece composed specifically for the school by the well-known Sauerland composer Alexander Reuber will receive its world premiere on November 6, 2026. The approximately seven-minute piece for symphonic wind orchestra, conducted by Dr. Frederik Linn, sets to music the school’s four defining pillars—“Life – Learning – Helping – Faith”— —and will be a musical highlight of the school’s 60th-anniversary year.
The origins of this project are extraordinary in themselves: For the performance, more than 70 former and current students, parents, and teachers from the school will come together to form a large symphonic project orchestra. In addition to the four works performed by the project orchestra, several other school ensembles and choirs—featuring more than 130 active students—will take the stage, bringing the total number of performers to over 200.
In addition to accessible restrooms, refreshments and snacks will be available.
