You don’t have to travel around the world to hear a classical concert by a world-class orchestra. The musicians—handpicked by master violinist Artiom Kononov from a wide variety of countries—have been performing under the name “The Chambers” since 2015.
The contrast between virtuosic performances of original classical works, hits from film and pop music, and their own arrangements is the hallmark of this chamber ensemble.
Kononov’s arrangements allow the musicians to fully showcase their skills. Ion Malcoci’s pan flute, in particular, lends the concerts an enchanting timbre and that unmistakable sound. The ingenious variety within the individual works and the unusual composition of the programs combine to create a musical fireworks display of classical compositions that leaves the audience in awe.
