“Best of NRW” with the Osimun Saxophone Quartet

Founded in 2022, the Osimun Quartet is a young ensemble of four Spanish saxophonists who are developing a distinctive, fresh, and socially engaged artistic voice and redefining the role of the saxophone quartet in contemporary chamber music.

The members are currently pursuing a master’s degree specializing in chamber music at the Bern University of the Arts (HKB) under the direction of Patrick Jüdt and are also part of the String Quartet Academy and the European Chamber Music Academy. The quartet has already performed at major European venues such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Muziekgebouw aan ’t IJ, and the Bijloke in Ghent. Among its awards are first prizes at Juventudes Musicales de España 2025 and the Storioni Competition 2023, as well as selection for Dutch Classical Talent and Musethica 2025/26.

With a strong focus on contemporary music, the ensemble works closely with composers and tours regularly throughout Europe.
The program in Attendorn features music by Bach and Mozart as well as contemporary works, including a composition by Robert Seara written specifically for the quartet.
