Advent Concert with cantamus and the Marsberg Protestant Parish Wind Ensemble
For many years now, an Advent concert has been held on the first Sunday of Advent at the Protestant City Church in Brilon, and it has always been very well received. This tradition of kicking off the Advent season with music is set to continue in 2026. This year, the focus will be on festive music performed by the brass ensemble, conducted by Siegmar Paschkewitz. The sound of brass instruments fits perfectly with the Christmas season. The parish choir “cantamus,” under the direction of Gerhard Eberbach, will perform several popular motets and songs to the delight of the audience.
This year, the audience will also have the opportunity to contribute to the event by singing along. Since singing together is always a great joy, several Advent carols will be offered for the audience to sing along to.
Admission is free; donations for the Balthasar Children’s Hospice in Olpe are appreciated!
