On Saturday, November 21, and Sunday, November 22, 2026, the 37th Rixbeck Advent Fair invites visitors to browse, enjoy, and get into the Christmas spirit. At the Rixbeck Recreation Center and on the adjacent church square, visitors can expect a diverse selection of arts and crafts, culinary specialties, and a small program of activities for the whole family.
Handmade Items and Unique Gift Ideas
A total of 26 exhibitors will showcase their creative and lovingly crafted products. From Christmas floral arrangements and artistic woodwork to designer bags and textile decorations, as well as homemade jams, liqueurs, and cookies, there’s plenty to discover.
Numerous booths on the festively decorated church square also invite visitors to stroll and linger. The Rixbeck Scouts are responsible for the Christmas decorations on the forecourt.
Program for Children and Culinary Offerings
There’s plenty for the little ones, too: The kindergarteners will put on a Christmas performance and decorate a Christmas tree with ornaments they’ve made themselves. Plus, St. Nicholas will stop by around 2:00 p.m. and bring some sweet surprises.
For food, there will be homemade soups, fried potatoes, Leberkäse, currywurst, and other hearty specialties. Mulled wine, eggnog, and hot cocoa will keep you warm and cozy. Homemade cakes and pies await guests in the cafeteria.
Together for Rixbeck
The Advent exhibition has been made possible for 37 years thanks to the tremendous volunteer efforts of the village community. Most of this year’s proceeds will benefit the Bürgerring, which is responsible for preserving and maintaining the recreation center as an important gathering place for village life.
