150th “Artwork of the Week”
Exhibition: 6 Years of “Artwork of the Week” – Artists from Brilon and the region
Launched on April 16, 2021. A storefront, an easel, a sign. That’s what makes up the “Artwork of the Week” series. Brilon Kultour presents one artwork for two weeks at a time, each by an artist from the region. There have now been 150 artworks: photos, paintings, and sculptures. In this exhibition, all of them from the past two years are on display once again:“
” “Hand in Hand ,” “We, Figures of Light , Step Through the Portal” from the “Lovebomb” series, our “Golden Evening Stroll ,” and “The Painted Time.” A fresh breeze, and the blood rain transforms into bubbles—round and colorful. The Bull Meets the Sheep of Many Colors— The Last Supper in Paloma? No, not at all— starry laughter and floral magic! Five sunflowers and a bouquet in blue bloom from *My New Bag*. What magnificent colors! Colors, faces, stories, untitled works, fruity cross-sections! The Heart Island (untitled) offers a sunny spot for *The Dancers* and *The Colorful Chaos*. Even a Common Greenling and *The Nightingale of Brilon* find joy in dancing together to the symphony of stripes. Who brought this flame into the world?
