10 Years of Cinema—Film: Key Scenes from a Documentary Film
First came the film—then came the movie theater. Since November 2025, the new “Living Room Cinema” has been located at Steinerstraße 24 in Werl. It was named after the documentary of the same name about the pilgrimage town: “Werlorama.” Local master photographer, author, and filmmaker Helmuth Euler (1933–2020) shot the film in the 1960s and supplemented it with additional historical material. Tobias Gebhardt, who runs the living room cinema, has since shown the film to numerous groups and witnessed their enthusiasm for the work. Using various “key scenes,” he therefore hopes to offer a fresh perspective on the film. Through these explanations, subtleties such as cross-fades, cuts, and distinctive original sound bites and commentary come to life.
