The Helle Valley in the Rothaargebirge Nature Park is a true natural spectacle. Untouched by human intervention, this place remains as nature created it and has thus become a point of attraction for hikers and walkers.
The starting point for the gorge and bridge trail through the Helletal is the Winterberg spa park. In the beautiful natural forest park you walk through deep notch valleys, past deciduous and coniferous trees. Different biotopes show you the richness of nature. From our beautiful "Bodensee" you climb up - back to the Winterberg spa park.
In the entrance area of the spa park gastronomic offers and the music garden with water games and pedal pool invite you to stay. In front of the music shell with its acoustic roof, events such as the Sparkasse Open Air and the Music Summer take place. Shortly before the music garden merges into the Generation Park, the educational and herb garden of the Hochsauerland Chefs' Club presents itself in harmonious harmony with nature, with many medicinal herbs and plants. The created beds can be harvested by the citizens themselves. The walking paths and the Finn running track for joggers lead through the park in a swinging and flowing way. In the lower part of the park, children can go on a discovery tour and let off steam. A large playground awaits the little ones and the smallest visitors. A mini-golf and billiard golf course and Mensch-Ärger-Dich-Nicht and open-air chess playing fields offer a varied activity opportunity for all generations. In the direction of the Oversum Vitalresort, the themes of health, relaxation and rest find their focus. Rest areas and generation playground equipment alternate. Large, loosely distributed groups of older trees from the existing stock and new trees and a meadow orchard structure the area in the lower part. Elliptical flower gardens with perennials and alternating flora invite visitors to take a look. Works of art "A Heart for Winterberg" are discreetly placed in the park - sometimes almost hidden, they surprisingly enter the visitors' field of vision.
