The Westerbergschule - elementary school of the city of Warstein is a municipal community elementary school. It has existed in this composition and under this name since the merger of the 2-member Catholic Waldschule and the 1-member Seller-Gemeinschaftsgrundschule (formerly Protestant elementary school) in the 2002/2003 school year.
In January 2003, the Waldschule moved into the partially renovated Westerbergschule building, which at that time still housed the adult education center. After a lightning renovation, the adult education center moved to the Waldschule building. Meanwhile, the VHS wing was renovated for the arrival of the Sellerschule, which completed the new elementary school in August 2003.
Currently, the Westerbergschule has 2 classes and is attended by about 180 children. At present there are 7 female teachers, 2 male teachers, 1 GL teacher and 1 trainee teacher.
