A very special treasure is the Sunderner Heimatkrippe. This nativity scene shows, in addition to the biebl scenes, 30 deceased persons from the history of Sundern. These include the former German President Heinrich Lübke from Enkhausen, the Erfurt Bishop Hugo Aufderbeck, but also the carter Clute-Simon from Allendorf, who saved the bones of the Magi from the looters of the French Revolution over 200 years ago. The replica of the former Rochus Chapel serves as the stable. From the first Advent to the second of February you can visit the nativity scene in St. John's Church in Sundern's pedestrian zone.
