The summit of Olsberg with its distinctive summit cross is widely visible and a popular hiking destination.
From the center of Olsberg, where we are at 350müNN, the summit (700müNN) is well marked to hike.
The Kurterrainweg 3 leads up the street "Rutsche", first possibility left... until shortly before the Hasley hut.
There, follow the road uphill until a hiking sign on the left side provides further information. Opposite the hiking sign, the footpath goes steeply uphill.
Via the cliff path, past the Luisenquelle, a somewhat strenuous but wonderful hiking trail leads up to the summit cross.
The view into the young Ruhrtal rewards the effort.
The way back to the city via hiking trail 08 is recommended. The trail leads past the forest altar to the Dr. Grüne spa park, where you can refresh yourself from the hike at the covered pedal pool.
