On the occasion of the 750th anniversary of the village of Referinghausen in 2019, the temporary pavilion Strohtherme celebrates a milestone in the history of the village: the heat supply of all houses from bioenergy.
The straw of the outer wall stands as a metaphor for renewable resources. The steel pool with warm water symbolizes the energy obtained from biomass. The special atmosphere invited hundreds of visitors to learn more about sustainability and environmental protection.
