The representative salt crystal fountain, created by the sculptor Leo Janischowsky, rises in front of the Börde Therme Bad Sassendorf. Its design language refers to the natural crystal formations that salt can develop. Such crystals can also be found in the thermal baths - the white gold is everywhere in Bad Sassendorf.

The salt crystal fountain is part of the Sassendorf Salt Trails, a tour of the town.
