"Sändkers Mühle" has been open to the public again since 1997.
It has wings with a span of 20 meters. The mill tower and mill building are built of local sand-lime brick. The interior and the technology of the mill still exist. In 1976 the last miller Wilhelm Sändker stopped the mill operation. About 20 years later, the windmill was classified as a "Technical Cultural Monument" and was thoroughly renovated and restored in 1995. The wings had been dismantled for a long time and were reattached in 1996. The mill can be visited again since 1997 - since 2009 it is even possible to grind again! In the mill a small exhibition shows its history.
For interested visitors the mill is open from May to September every first Saturday of the month from 14:00 to 17:00, also always on Whit Monday, on the Lippetal Bicycle Day (2nd Sunday in August) and on the Open Monument Day (2nd Sunday in September).
