The church construction began in 1220. After the construction around 1250 the small west tower was replaced by the present early Gothic tower. It received the 31 m high baroque dome probably in 1665 during the extensions of the bell tower. The copper-gilt Pankratius cross (around 1100) is considered an important art treasure. Among the preserved paintings from the 14th century is a remarkable portrait of St. Christopher in the southern transept. Also interesting from the point of view of art history are the portals, whose columns have sharp grooves: rare traces of archaic saber sharpening. Tower tours possible from May to October
