The spacious Otto-Fuchs-Platz in the heart of Meinerzhagen, directly adjacent to Meinerzhagen's town hall, can be seen as the town's new open-air event center in the southern Märkisches Sauerland region. Not only the weekly market finds its place here every Friday, but also various music events, festivals or the Meinerzhagen Winter Lounge are now part of the calendar of events of the likeable small town.
But even without events, the square invites you to linger and offers families in particular an entertaining stay. Different playground equipment is waiting to be discovered by small and big children. Small fountains, designed as water play areas, offer refreshment on warm summer days.
Information boards about the long-distance hiking trail Sauerland-Höhenflug, which starts in Meinerzhagen, are also located at the edge of Otto-Fuchs-Platz.
