The Nikolaikirche is probably the last beautiful building in the late Baroque and Rococo style in Westfalen. The masonry consists of plastered quarry stones, the architectural structure of sandstone.
Particularly beautiful are the various altars as well as the figures. The centerpiece is the towering main altar with its harmonious combination of architecture, sculptural decoration and painting, which also includes the two rococo doors on the sides.
In the winter months, the Nikolaikirche regularly hosts candlelight concerts with many well-known national and international artists.
