Around 25 species of waterfowl can be regularly observed on Lake Möhne. In the winter months, large populations of goosanders, goldeneyes and pochards can be found here, and during the migration season, even ospreys can be seen. Tufted ducks and great crested grebes stay on the lake all year round. From mid-August to the end of September, you can also observe cormorants on Lake Möhne.
