Flax cultivation was an important branch of industry in Niedersfeld until 1929. The sowing and processing of the plant and its fiber was women's work. From the flax seed to the woven fabric, quite a few steps had to be taken. In the Heimatstube Niedersfeld this way of the flax from the sowing to the weaving of the linen

presented.The centerpiece of the exhibition is the loom from 1800, which can also be demonstrated by appointment.
Thepermanent exhibition, a photo documentation, is located in the premises of the tourist information (Josefsweg 1):Here the 100 years of tourism in Niedersfeld is shown. A mineral exhibition and a small natural history exhibition complete the offer for the visitor.
