Because the cemetery in Obermarsberg was overcrowded, the cemetery was built on the edge of a residential area.
In Niedermarsberg there was a synagogue in the Weist of 1735, which was rebuilt in 1849 after a fire in the year, 1938 the interior was destroyed and the house was sold.
In the 18th century the old Jewish school was built on a hill in Paulinenstraße 17. The building is well preserved today.
The cemetery is locked, the key is available in the town hall!
