The former mining town of Eversberg was founded in 1242 by Count Gottfried III of Arnsberg and is now a district of the town of Meschede. The Altstadt with its historic center has been well preserved.

Eversberg stands for peace and recreation and offers, in addition to the idyllic landscape of the Arnsberg Forest Nature Park, many insights into the history around the 18th century. The historic town center offers the remains of the old castle ruins, old cobblestones and romantic half-timbered houses, many idyllic places that invite you to linger.
