In 1753, the Westphalian Baroque architect Johann Conrad Schlaun designed and built the Hirschberger Tor on behalf of Elector Clemens August. Originally, it adorned the hunting lodge in Hirschberg. Today it is the gate to the city forest of Arnsberg.
