Climb the imposing Himmelstreppe at the Hennedamm and reward yourself with a wonderful view over the district and university town of Meschede and the Hennesee.
You should also visit the Himmelstreppe at dusk: the illuminated ascent to the dam is simply worth seeing and should not be missed during a visit to Meschede.
During Advent, the illuminated silhouette of a Christmas tree adorns the Himmelstreppe.
At the foot of the Himmelstreppe there is a drinking fountain.
The Himmelstreppe can only be reached on foot.

Parking lot district house, "Steinstrasse". From there the HenneBoulevard leads along the river Henne to the Himmelstreppe.
