The parking lot is located in Meinerzhagen (place name: Schallershaus) and serves, next to the starting point in Altena, as the western entry point of the Sauerland-Höhenflug.
Sufficient parking spaces, seating and overview boards about the Sauerland-Höhenflug and other hiking opportunities in and around Meinerzhagen, as well as a magnificent view of the Mattenschanzen opposite offers the entry point. And if you can't find a parking space, there are another 100 parking spaces on the Schützenplatz, which is only a few meters away.
