The right side of the Lange Kamp (seen from the Lenne) offers free parking. It is a good idea to leave the car here and walk to Burg Altena (10-15 min with ascent), the adventure elevator (12 min), the wire museum (5 min) and the city center (5 min).
The path to Burg Altena is also marked with a white H on a black background as an access route to the Sauerland-Höhenflug long-distance hiking trail, but it is also signposted with classic signposts. An information board informs about the long-distance hiking trail and the tourist side of Altena.
