The rediscovery of the old Heidenstraße as a pilgrimage route for St. James for the section between Oberkirchen and Attendorn leads through more than a thousand years of Christian past and at the same time represents the cultural heritage on a heart of the former Electoral Cologne Sauerland.

Pilgrim friends and naturally all history and homeland-interested - can prepare themselves with the volume published by the Sauerland homeland federation "walking and pilgrimage on the Heidenstraße", written by the married couple Annemarie and Herbert Schmoranzer as well as Franz-Norbert Scheele of the project group "Heidenstraße", for the "experience Heidenstraße". On a good one hundred pages, the pilgrims of St. James and hikers get a reliable and interesting guide in a handy format, which is rounded off by extensive maps and remarkable photographs.
