The Felsenmeer Hemer Museum was established in 1989 in the former Villa Grah, under the auspices of the Bürger- und Heimatverein Hemer e.V. (Hemer Citizens' and Local History Association). On three floors, the museum offers an overview of the industrial history of the local area, from 1000 years of ore mining in the Felsenmeer to modern iron processing (especially wire drawing) as well as the history of the earth and the town.

In addition to the permanent exhibition, special exhibitions with different themes are presented at irregular intervals. In 1902, the factory owner Peter Grah (1852-1935) had this stately villa built by the architect August Deucker (1869-1924). He succeeded in harmoniously combining the predominant country house style in the local area (here with half-timbering and a quarry stone base) with elements of Art Nouveau. The interior of the house is adorned with numerous details with Art Nouveau ornamentation.
