What started as a support of the own orchards, quickly developed into a matter of the heart. Hof Schürholz now owns around 25 bee colonies, from whose stock not only honey but also mead, pollen and wax products are produced.
In addition, Hof Schürholz owns an apiary in the orchard at the Konrad Adenauer School Center's teaching garden, which is part of the school's beekeeping club founded in 2014. Here, the students learn by practical example exactly where honey comes from and the great importance of bees.
