Winter sports the Sauerland way

Winter in the Sauerland is a very special time. Then the snow transforms the otherwise green landscape into a true winter wonderland and it gets busy in the ski resorts. Because the region can proudly call itself the "largest winter sports destination north of the Alps" and scores with more than 130 lifts and up to 300 hectares of slopes. This is unique in North Rhine-Westphalia and therefore attracts winter sports enthusiasts from near and far to the region.

And the 500-kilometer network of quality cross-country ski trails in the Nordic Sports Arena is unparalleled anywhere else in the region. Of course, the lift operators in the Sauerland do not only focus on quantity, but also ensure with regular investments that the highest quality standards always make skiing and snowboarding at its best possible.

But even the little ones get their money's worth in the lively winter hustle and bustle of the Sauerland. Because the numerous toboggan slopes promise carefree fun on the slopes. Here you can let off steam to your heart's content as you race down the perfectly groomed slopes into the valley. And if you don't have your own sled, you can simply rent one at one of the stations on site. It doesn't get any more practical than this.
