St. Elizabeth's Church was completed in 1907. In order not to compete with neighboring churches it was built in Romanesque style. Originally the church had a carved altar. Between 1936 and 1942 these carved images were replaced by images with 'Aryan' saints. However, all these images are no longer preserved today. In 1949 the church got new bells, because the old ones were lost in the war. In 1960-1962 the church was renovated. The church received a new altar made of sandstone. The colorful original painting of the church was covered with light color. 14 Stations of the Cross and a Schmitz Madonna found a place in the church. In 1980, the church was repainted on the outside. Another interior renovation took place in 1981.
