The library has been housed in the community center of the town of Warstein since 1982 and maintains a diverse range of books, magazines, CDs and DVDs, comprising a total of around 8,000 media.

In addition, the library has had its own website since 2015, including an online catalog, in which it is possible to browse through the current selection in advance, or to renew media that are still on loan, or to make reservations for coveted items.

The library was founded in 1868 and has been constantly expanded and modernized to this day. It now receives around 4,600 visitors and readers a year.
