Ever Montgomery, a professor of geosciences, urgently needs to learn to dance for an awards ceremony. However, he detests any physical contact because he suffers from a special form of autism.
On the advice of the janitor, he approaches his neighbor and dancer Senga Quinn. However, after injuring her leg, it is doubtful whether she will ever be able to dance again. So Ever offers her 2153 dollars for a dance lesson. Senga initially rejects this offer as "immoral". But then curiosity wins out and the unlikely pair start lessons. Absurd situations quickly develop...
