The fourth edition of the Menden mulled wine hike will take place on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22 from 5 pm to 10 pm. The mulled wine hike is the starting signal for the pre-Christmas season in Menden.

The basic principle remains the same: the four Menden entrepreneurs and restaurateurs Haus Oberkampf, Tabak Semer, Mendener Mühle and the phono-forum entice the people of Menden with hot mulled wine, punch and food at four stations on a walk through the beautiful Altstadt of Menden. Participation is free and you can start at all four stations without prior registration. In addition to the first mulled wine or punch, each participant receives a stamp card. Once this has been stamped by all the stands, you will receive a free drink and a finisher badge.

The mulled wine walk kicks off the pre-Christmas season this year on November 21 (Friday) and 22 (Saturday). For the fourth edition, the organizers have once again come up with a little special. "For every walker who has consumed a hot drink at all four mulled wine stands, there will be a finisher button in addition to the free mulled wine," reveals Moritz Kickermann. The finisher button is based on the traditional finisher medals for marathons. "After all, the mulled wine walkers also have a proper program that they can complete with us," says Kickermann with a wink.

Museum of the City of Menden offers city tour along the stands of the Glühweinwanderung.

City archivist Mr. Reisloh (Friday 21.11. from 6 pm) and Mr. Niemann (Saturday 22.11. from 6 pm) are once again offering the successful city tour for a limited number of 25 participants. Moritz Kickermann from phono-forum explains: "The mulled wine tour will take place in our beloved Altstadt. We are therefore very grateful to Mr. Reisloh and Mr. Niemann for agreeing to offer the popular city tour again and to bring the participants even closer to the history of the city of Menden."

Tour with mulled wine stands in the Altstadt

The 4th Menden mulled wine walking tour will take place on Friday, November 21 and Saturday, November 22 from 5 to 10 pm and participation is free of charge. The tour runs through the Altstadt of Menden with four Christmas mulled wine stands at Haus Oberkampf, Tabak Semer, the Mendener Mühle and phono-forum's mulled wine garden at the former Weber driving school in Unnaer Straße. The organizers once again recommend that walkers bring their own cup. With a wink, the organizers assure that participants who forget their cups will not go away empty-handed. Free biodegradable paper cups as well as mulled wine mugs will be available on site. The proceeds from the cups sold will be donated to a good cause.

The Menden mulled wine walk will once again kick off a beautiful and contemplative pre-Christmas season in the beautiful Altstadt of Menden.

1. do I have to register for the mulled wine walk / pay admission?

No, registration is not necessary and participation in the walk is free of charge (except of course for the drinks at the individual stands). Only the guided tour of the Altstadt costs a one-off fee of €3 and includes a free drink.

2. do I have to stick to the specified route?

You can start wherever you like. The route given is only a suggestion and serves as a guide on the map.

3. what else will there be besides mulled wine?

In addition to mulled wine, there will of course also be non-alcoholic punch. You can also look forward to snacks and Christmas presents.

4. do I need to bring my own cups?

For reasons of sustainability and hygiene, we recommend that you bring your own cups / mugs. You can also buy "Mendenverliebt" cups on site and there are also free biodegradable paper cups.

5. how does it work with the stamp cards?

As soon as you buy a mulled wine/punch at one of the four stands, you will receive a stamp card. If you have collected a stamp from all four stands, you will receive a free mulled wine/punch.

6. where can you go to the toilet?
You can use the sanitary facilities at the Haus Oberkampf and Mendener Mühle stands.
