The lovingly decorated huts invite you to socialize, feast, marvel and stroll. Christmas presents, home-made goods and fresh waffles are just as tempting as the wonderful smell of mulled wine and almonds, the attractive stage program and the carol singing.
The children's carousel makes children's eyes light up every year and the ecumenical open-air service radiates contemplation on Christmas Eve.
An attractive stage program awaits all Christmas market visitors on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings. Artists from a wide variety of genres perform on the stage in front of the Old Town Hall and captivate the audience with their sounds and powerful voices.
But that's not all: there are also more contemplative and traditional program items!
St. Nicholas Day is, how could it be otherwise, all about the children - from 3 p.m., St. Nicholas comes to the Old Town Hall Square and brings a bulging sack of presents.
December 10 is the day of action for young and old.
Once again this year, we would like to decorate the Christmas trees on the square in front of the Old Town Hall together with you! At 3 pm, we will decorate the Christmas trees on the square together with your own Christmas baubles.
Everyone can download the painting template from the municipal website, print it out and paint it - there are no limits to your creativity. The baubles are then neatly cut out and the backs of two baubles are glued together.
They are then laminated and cut out again with a small overhanging edge, punched at the top with a hole punch, a ribbon is pulled through and knotted. That's it!
At 5 p.m., all amateur singers and talented singers are cordially invited to join the pack singing from 5 p.m. !
Christmas morning starts at noon with an ecumenical open-air service with Pastor Dietmar Schulte and Superintendent Oliver Günther, before all last-minute gift buyers can listen to the sounds of Jens Dreesmann over a last glass of mulled wine.
So - come into town!
