People used to think that elves danced in the forest on Midsummer's Eve and that the morning dew could heal. Scientists have since proven that nature has a beneficial, even healing effect. June 21 is also Forest Bathing Day. Throughout Germany and also in Willingen, forest bathers take people by the hand to bring them closer to the sensual experience of nature and immerse them in the inspiring atmosphere of the forest. All proceeds are donated to tree planting projects!

Scientists have discovered that spending time in the forest acts like aromatherapy: Breathing in the essential oils that the trees release into the air strengthens the immune system. What's more, consciously perceiving nature, the smell of the forest, the rough bark of the trees, the rustling of the bushes and much more calms the mind. This is "forest bathing". Participants discover inspiring places, enjoy silence, inner peace and recharge their batteries. Participants experience the healing effects of the forest under expert guidance.
