The social and political climate during the McCarthy era in the USA prompts artist Niki de Saint Phalle (Charlotte Le Bon) to pull up stakes and move to France with her husband Harry Matthews (John Robinson) and their daughter. But the ghosts of her past also follow Niki to Europe. Instead of a life of glamor as a model and actress in Paris, Niki soon breaks down and has to seek psychiatric help. In the process, she finds her way to the visual arts - and soon puts the conventions of this world to the test...(France 2025, biopic, 98 minutes, FSK 12).
